2. Alveolar Socket Preservation

The second molar has fractured vertically and is now infected with a large apical abscess. This tooth is hopeless and must be surgically removed. A bone graft will be placed so that an implant can successfully be placed and restored with a crown

The tooth, #15, has been removed. The buccal tori will be removed. This will make it possible now to have primary closure over the membrane and graft.

The bone graft and membrane has been placed.

The flap has been sutured, notice primary closue, no membrane is showing.

The implant has been placed and matches the other implant.
